The city of Strasbourg is the capital of the area known as the Alsace region located in northeastern France. Strasbourg can be found close to the border of Germany. The region of Alsace is an important wine producing region after Bordeaux and Burgundy. The region has been in the wine production industry since 300 AD and its famous Route du Vin, wine road, is visited by many tourists, who visit the wine cellars along the route. The long road begins in the small town of Thann by the church and travels through Vosges Mountain.
